Insha Jan is accused in connection with the Pulwama terror attack. A special NIA court rejected her bail plea, emphasizing that under Section 43-D(5) of the UAPA, bail cannot be granted if the court finds reasonable grounds to believe the accusations are prima facie true.

An ISI-backed terror network led by Shehzad Bhatti was targeted across 2025–26, with over 200 operatives arrested ahead of Independence Day 2026. Seven UAPA cases were filed against the network, with six operatives in jail and weapons including grenades, IEDs and RDX recovered.

Asiya Andrabi and two others were convicted and sentenced to life imprisonment under UAPA provisions. Andrabi was arrested in 2018 and was found guilty on January 14, 2026. She has filed an appeal against her life sentence in the Delhi High Court.

The NIA filed a chargesheet against a tailor from UP arrested in Navsari, Gujarat. The accused is alleged to have conspired for the secession of Kashmir and Ladakh from India and was in touch with Pakistan-based JeM operatives. The case involves alleged conspiracy to undermine India's territorial integrity.

Over 200 operatives linked to the ISI-backed Shahzad Bhatti network were arrested ahead of Independence Day 2026. The NIA chargesheeted Bhatti as an absconder along with other accused. In the Sirsa case, the NIA named nine people in its chargesheet in May 2026, including Bhatti and Pakistan-based handler Sohail Ahmad alias Sohail Baloch.

38 members of the Indian Mujahideen terror outfit were convicted and sentenced to death by a special court in February 2022 for their involvement in the Ahmedabad blasts. The high court rejected all appeals and upheld the death sentences in a judgment citing the scale of terror and conspiracy.
