State vs 11 operatives of Imam Mahmuder Kafila (IMK) — terror conspiracy

The National Investigation Agency filed a chargesheet against 11 suspects arrested in a multi-state anti-terror operation led by Assam STF targeting operatives of a Bangladesh-based terror organization (JMB). The accused have been charged under UAPA and BNS sections. The chargesheet was filed before the NIA Special Court in Guwahati.

The NIA filed a supplementary chargesheet before the NIA special court in Jammu against Hafiz Saeed, chief of the banned Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT) terror outfit and its proxy organization TRF, in connection with the Pahalgam terror attack. The chargesheet details Pakistan's alleged conspiracy, Saeed's role, and evidence collected during the investigation.

The NIA filed a chargesheet against Faijan in a case involving alleged online radicalisation linked to JeM and Al-Qaeda. The chargesheet invokes provisions of UAPA, BNS, and the Arms Act. The accused is alleged to have been radicalised online by terror organisations.

Insha Jan is accused in connection with the Pulwama terror attack. A special NIA court rejected her bail plea, emphasizing that under Section 43-D(5) of the UAPA, bail cannot be granted if the court finds reasonable grounds to believe the accusations are prima facie true.

Asiya Andrabi and two others were convicted and sentenced to life imprisonment under UAPA provisions. Andrabi was arrested in 2018 and was found guilty on January 14, 2026. She has filed an appeal against her life sentence in the Delhi High Court.

An ISI-backed terror network led by Shehzad Bhatti was targeted across 2025–26, with over 200 operatives arrested ahead of Independence Day 2026. Seven UAPA cases were filed against the network, with six operatives in jail and weapons including grenades, IEDs and RDX recovered.
