An IPS officer was arrested in connection with a fake drug bribery scheme involving Rs 3 crore. The officer allegedly sought money to 'fix' a CBI case related to a counterfeit medicine racket. Several politicians were also found to be involved in the investigation.

Four police officers, including a CCB DySP and three inspectors, were investigated for alleged involvement in Bitcoin-related crimes. A SIT completed investigations into nine separate Bitcoin-related matters. The four officers were dropped from the chargesheet after the Karnataka government denied prosecution sanction.

Sharda was apprehended while allegedly accepting Rs 5 lakh as part of a demanded bribe. A chargesheet was filed by CBI on December 3, 2025, and the court subsequently framed charges.

IPS officer Deepak Gahlawat (2012-batch) was arrested by the CBI on allegations of demanding Rs 3 crore as bribe to influence an investigation into a fake drug manufacturing racket in Puducherry. The case emerged from a counterfeit medicine racket investigation that involved several politicians.

A Punjab Station House Officer (SHO), Gurinderjit Singh, faces extradition to the US following FBI charges linking him to a $400,000 gang-related extortion plot. The case is part of Operation Hard Ball, the international law enforcement crackdown on India-based transnational organised crime groups.

The CBI arrested Haryana IAS officer Pradeep Kumar in connection with an alleged Rs 504 crore fraud at IDFC First Bank's Chandigarh branch. The investigation revealed that public funds belonging to eight Haryana government departments were allegedly siphoned off through forged or non-existent fixed deposits and fraudulent transactions routed to shell entities. Former bank officers were also accused of facilitating the opening of accounts and fraudulent transactions.
